Quick Sprouted Grain Pita Pizza

When the true scare is a toddler temper tantrum meltdown...pizza for lunch! Sliced a @foodforlifebaking sprouted grain pita in half, smeared a little @raosnyc marinara @daiyafoods rice mozzarella and sautéed shitakes in tamari and Avo oil, popped in the toaster oven at 400 for 10-15 min. 🎃👻🍕

cup marinara sauce

whole wheat pita bread

Instructions
First, sauté the shiitake mushrooms in avocado oil and tamari until tender. Slice the sprouted grain pita in half. Spread a little marinara sauce on each pita half, then sprinkle with rice mozzarella. Top with the sautéed shiitake mushrooms. Place the pitas in a toaster oven preheated to 400°F and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the pita is lightly crisped.View original recipe
